What we do
Dhuhr every day, 1:15 to 1:35, in the auditorium. Grab a prayer form from the Main Office once and then just show up. You do not need to join anything to use it.
Twice a month after school, 3:00 to 4:00, Room E103 or the library. Food is out before you walk in.
Some meetings have no agenda at all. Food, games, everyone in one room. Usually the ones people remember.
Treat sales at lunch, jersey sales at the masjid, seasonal movie nights. Last January’s Palestine jerseys sold out with every dollar donated.
Programming all month, a community iftar with families invited, and the Eid celebration. The best-attended thing we do.
Food drives, masjid events, community service days, and guest speakers worth an hour of your afternoon. Every hour logged and signed.
Funded entirely by what we raise. Members vote on where. Cost never keeps anyone home.
Service hours
Ask Jibril to log your hours the same day you work. Do not wait until June trying to remember what you did in October — that is exactly how people end up short.
What counts: setting up or running a movie night, working a fundraiser table, bulk supply runs, community service days, masjid events, iftar setup and cleanup, and helping run Eid.
The calendar
September and October are set. The rest of the year gets added here once the dates are locked in. Everything goes out in the WhatsApp group first.
Introductions, the year plan, and your ideas. If you are new, especially freshmen, this is the one to come to. Bring a friend.
Second meeting later in the month, built around new people.
Fall movie night at the masjid, and the first treat sale of the year at lunch.
Two meetings. Guest speaker if we can land one.
